Agricultural Education
We support programs focused on agriculture that help children develop leadership skills, educate them about food and farming, foster a deeper interest and connection to local Canadian food and build an interest in agricultural careers.
Farm Safety
Children are extremely vulnerable to farm-related injuries. In fact, farm accidents cause an average of 13 deaths per year for children under 15 years of age. In response, Corteva Agriscience supports educational programs that promote making safe choices and increase awareness of the potential dangers for children living on farms.
Food Security
By the time they are 15 years old, a quarter of Canadian youth say they go to school without breakfast. Poor nutrition in children increases the risk of developing chronic illnesses. That’s why we support food security programs, including school breakfast and nutrition, food banks, rural meal delivery, and community gardens.
