Sclerotinia Risk Map

Advanced sclerotinia disease risk prediction model: Through multi-faceted data sources and advanced learning algorithms we are able to present a weekly updating map showing predicted probability of Sclerotinia disease onset in canola, up to 2 weeks from the date the map is created.

Sclerotinia Risk
  • Very low risk
  • Low risk
  • Moderate risk
  • High risk
  • Very high risk

Additional Map Information:

  • Find your local area: The predictions are a result of advanced models that utilize a myriad of features originating from weather data collected at these locations. (Examples include hours wherein temperature, humidity, and leaf wetness fall within predetermined windows.)
  • Know your risk level: Use this tool to observe various regions risk levels from very low to very high risk of developing sclerotinia disease in your canola crop. Know up to 2 weeks in advance with up to a 75% accuracy level.
  • Make disease management decisions easier: Having this information may assist farmers with their disease management decisions and help determine when its appropriate to spray their canola with a fungicide like Viatude.
  • Know when to spray: Spraying for sclerotinia in the optimal timeframe can be difficult but using the map as a guide and scouting fields increase accuracy in applying Viatude fungicide, which in turn will greatly increase yield potential (upwards of 12 bushels/acre vs untreated fields under high disease pressure).
  • Map updates: This map will be updated regularly. Please refer back for updated risk predictions in your local areas.
