Technical Specifications

  • Application Method
    Aerial: Not registered for aerial application.
  • Approved Use
    Refer to the Lontrel XC label for complete use instructions.
    Refer to the Controlled Weeds list for the full list of weeds.
  • Rates
    • 4 x 2.67 L case
    • 26 - 40 acres per jug
    - Under cool or dry conditions, control may be seriously reduced.
    Water volume
    - Ground 40-80 L/ac (10-21 US gal/ac).
    - Aerial not registered.
  • Application Timing

    • Canola stage: 2- to 6-leaf
    • Cereal stage: 3-leaf to flag leaf
    • Weed stage: Canada thistle rosette to pre-bud
    • Corn stage: spike to V6
    • Apply to target weeds when they are actively growing.
    • Only weeds present at the time of application will be controlled

    Rainfast: 4 Hours

  • Crop Rotation
    The year following application, fields can be seeded to;
    • Barley
    • Canola
    • Flax
    • Forage grasses
    • Mustard
    • Oats
    • Rye
    • Wheat (or can be summerfallowed)
  • Mixing Instructions
    1) Fill the spray tank with ½ to ¾ of the required amount of water.
    2) Continue agitation throughout the mixing and spraying procedure.
    3) Add any required water conditioners.
    4) Add any tank-mix partners that are a dry formulation.
    5) Add the required amount of grassy weed tank-mix partner.
    6) Add the required amount of Lontrel XC.
    7) Add any required adjuvant or surfactants.
    8) Complete filling the sprayer tank with water.
    Note: Do not mix undiluted herbicides in the chem-handler.
