2023: thank you for another amazing year

2023
Something went wrong. Please try again later...

As we approach the beginning of another new year, now is the perfect time to look back on how far we’ve come in 2023. This year marks significant achievements for Canadian farmers and Corteva Agriscience. Together, we have navigated another successful growing season, used innovation to tackle agronomic challenges and managed ongoing weather conditions.

2023 marked several milestones for our Canadian and global business.

Here in Canada, Corteva launched three new seed traits and six new crop protection products. Many of these, like Vorceed™ Enlist™ corn and Powercore® Enlist™ corn, will be game changers for Canadian farmers by offering maximized yield potential with advanced technology for insect and weed control.

For Eastern Canadian growers, the launch of Viatude™ fungicide (best-in-class protection against white mould in soybeans) was welcomed, especially given this year’s cool, wet growing season.

At a global level, Corteva cemented our position as a global leader in the rapidly expanding biologicals market with the acquisition of Symborg, an expert in microbiological technologies based in Murcia, Spain; and Stoller, one of the largest independent companies in the biologicals industry, based in Houston, Texas.

Also in 2023, we reached a huge milestone with Enlist E3™ soybeans. They are the number one selling soybean technology in the U.S.! Canadian growers are also rapidly adopting this new system that offers improved genetics, yields and weed management. We’re so proud of its performance, we are giving away more than 300 acres of Enlist E3 soybeans to two lucky farmers. Growers in Ontario and Quebec have been entering the contest at tradeshows throughout the year. Thank you to everyone who stopped by. It was great to be back attending live events and connecting in-person once again.  There’s still a chance to enter to win!  Visit EnlistCanada.ca to enter.

Connection was on our minds a lot this year, especially connection to the communities where we live and work. Corteva in Canada made donations to charities that support food security, grower wellness, youth education and more.

This year has been unforgettable, and I invite you to watch a short video highlighting 2023.

As we close out 2023, we look to the years ahead with optimism. Canadian farmers will continue to use hard work and ingenuity to help meet the world’s growing demand for food and fuel, and we will support them by bringing new sustainable and profitable tools and technologies to the farmgate.

As you celebrate the holiday season and a new year with loved ones, I hope you will take some time to recognize all you have accomplished this past year. Thank you for allowing us to be part of your operation.
